Ali Aarrass was convicted solely on the basis of a ‘confession’ extracted under torture.
The UN Special Rapporteur on torture and a forensic doctor visited Ali in detention and confirmed he had been tortured. We are calling for the immediate release of Ali and asking the Moroccan authorities to investigate reports that he was tortured.
